A Letter From Your DirectorI am pleased to welcome you to Learning with LIVE and to help you to broaden your knowledge of the English language. I am a qualified teacher and a Specialist in teaching International English. Through my experiences with International students and from my training and years of experience, I have found a method of teaching and study that has had great positive results. I believe that we all learn easiest and best if we enjoy the curriculum and the class. I can promise you we will do both! I have four years experience with the Canadian Learning Association using my skills and experiences to facilitate students in their learning. I was so fortunate 10 years ago to work with my first International students. Students just like you! What a wonderful learning adventure that was for me and for my students. Never did I dream of or realize the rewards of seeing students achieve comfort with the language and continue on in life to be successful in their goals and dreams. I am so aware of the hard diligent work that you do to improve your English and I respect that effort, diligence and discipline. I have watched students from other countries come to me with only Basic English skills; a few had never spoken English at all. In a very short time these students began to feel comfortable in English and improved daily. I have worked with them, we have worked together and I have watched one become one of the top 10 in the Cisco field of computers in Korea, now working for one of the top 3 internet security companies in the world! How proud I am of him when I get his phone calls and hear that he has been to conferences in San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong. Tokyo, Frankfurt and England. His company, and he himself give credit to his English skills. Enabling him to attend and take part in these conferences and take the information back to his co-workers in his homeland. I have students who stayed in Canada and started their own businesses and continue to be successful today. Some moved on to the United States and work there. One is now working for the Canadian Government. I have been in two successful business ventures in Canada and through those experiences I have gained an in depth knowledge and understanding of the business world, its protocol and practices. Through the business course that I will teach you, I will give you the same knowledge and skills so that you too can pursue your careers and be successful and productive in your search for a career and in your workplace in the future. Many have gone on to attend Universities in Canada and in the United States or returned to their homeland and great careers. I am so pleased to be a part of your learning journey. Let's begin !!!!
